Don’t point that gun at him, he’s an unpaid intern
We have two new student interns in our office starting this week. Our program will pay for their college tuition, and they’ll volunteer part time with us and be trained to give workshops, administer surveys, and teach about basic health.
We almost always speak in Khmer, but they call themselves “interns” in English. Every time I hear “intern,” all I can think is:
“Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?”
“No, they all share one.”
